Aave Labs Launches AI-Powered Governance Security System: Aave Checkpoint

April 16th, Aave Labs launched Aave Checkpoint—an AI-powered governance security system that adds a structured, multi-layer review process for every proposal and payload before execution. The Checkpoint workflow is split into two stages: **Automatic AI Analysis Stage**: When a new proposal is submitted, the system automatically pulls on-chain data, proposal source code, and IPFS text, cross-references parameters against governance specifications, uses Seatbelt to simulate outputs and audit the proposal’s execution path, runs over 60 specialized security analysis agents for vulnerability detection, DeFi-specific risk assessment, agent upgrade security checks, and generates a structured audit report with pass/fail conclusions. **Mandatory Human Review Stage**: Each AI-generated report requires independent sign-off from at least two individuals to be considered fully reviewed. Checkpoint covers Aave’s V3, V4, GHO, and Aptos-v3 protocols, and incorporates 5 custom Aave governance skills plus 52 external security skills.
