Bitcoin Network Transaction Volume Drops to 12-Month Low, Rune Transactions in the Past 30 Days Generated Less Than $20,000 in Fees

On February 15th, based on The Block's data, the 7-day moving average of Bitcoin network transaction volume has declined to 330,000 transactions and is hovering near a 12-month low, representing a significant 55% decrease from the peak of 730,000 transactions in the network's history. The fees generated by Runes in the past 30 days have dropped to less than $20,000. On the launch day, the fees generated by Runes were $60 million. This shows that the market has shifted speculative trading activities to other blockchain ecosystems. According to Memepool data, as of the time of writing, the Bitcoin network transaction fee is currently at 3 Sats/s.
