Japanese medical company SBC Medical is planning to purchase $6.7 million worth of Bitcoin

On February 13th, the Japanese SBC Medical Group Holdings Incorporated declared plans to acquire ¥1 billion ($6.7 million) worth of Bitcoin as part of a long-term strategy aimed at achieving asset diversification and hedging against inflation. The company thinks that investing in Bitcoin is in line with its goal of building a strong financial foundation and adapting to the changing macroeconomic environment. The U.S. subsidiary of SBC Medical will carry out this purchase through Coinbase. The company stated that before making the decision, it took into account accounting, tax, and cybersecurity factors carefully, and described Bitcoin as a value storage tool with the potential for long-term appreciation due to its fixed supply and the increasing adoption rate.
