Analysis: The Bitcoin market is experiencing a healthy pullback, with new entrants panic selling.

2025.08.26 16:32:31

On August 26th, a CryptoQuant analyst noted that a typical market cleansing process is underway. On-chain data indicates that the latest Bitcoin market participants are incurring losses and exiting, while more experienced holders are accumulating these sell-off chips. This is not a sign of systemic weakness but a constructive adjustment that helps to clear speculative leverage, thereby strengthening the market's foundation. The pain point is almost entirely concentrated among the most recent entrants. Investors who have held for less than a month are currently experiencing an average unrealized loss of -3.5%. Their reaction is very direct: selling. We have observed a significant decrease in the hodling supply of this group in recent weeks. This is a classic example of "panic selling." In sharp contrast, a broader group of short-term holders (STH) remains stable and profitable, with an overall gain of +4.5%. This indicates that while the shortest-term newbies are forced to exit, holders with 1-6 months of holding are not only holding their positions but are also in a relatively comfortable profit state. The decrease in the total STH supply is not a sign of panic spreading but a direct result of the "speculative tourist" giving up. This is a structural positive development. The market is cleansing its weakest holders and transferring Bitcoin to those with lower costs and stronger convictions. With the release of panic selling pressure, the selling pressure above the market is significantly reduced, making the price structure more stable. Although this adjustment is very painful for recent high buyers, it is precisely such a clearing event that lays a solid foundation for the next major uptrend.

Context.dev Consolidates All Its Scraping Interfaces, Enabling One-Stop Processing for Web Pages, PDFs, and Office Files

Beating AI Express: Y Combinator S26 startup Context.dev has launched Scrape Anything, consolidating previously fragmented web scraping APIs into a single interface. Developers only need to provide a URL for a webpage or online file, select their desired output format, and receive results including Markdown, HTML, screenshots, page images, raw files, or structured fields in one request. In addition to standard web pages, the tool currently supports around 40 file formats, such as PDF, DOCX, PPT, and XLSX. JavaScript rendering, proxy switching, anti-crawling handling, and retries are all managed by Context.dev, eliminating the need for developers to maintain their own browser and proxy infrastructure. While these capabilities already existed prior to this launch, the update primarily unifies disparate inputs and outputs under a single /v1/web/scrape endpoint. A standard scrape consumes 1 credit; requests for multiple output formats share this single base charge. Using browser-based operations costs 2 credits, and PDF OCR is billed separately based on the number of pages processed.
