If Ethereum breaks through $4600, the mainstream CEX cumulative short liquidation intensity will reach $1.1 billion

2025.08.18 08:00:15

On August 18th, based on Coinglass data, if Ethereum surpasses $4600, the cumulative short liquidation intensity on mainstream CEXs will amount to 1.1 billion. Conversely, if Ethereum drops below $4300, the cumulative long liquidation intensity on mainstream CEXs will reach 1.489 billion. BlockBeats Notes: The liquidation chart does not disclose the exact number of contracts to be liquidated or the precise value of contracts being liquidated. The bars on the liquidation chart actually represent the significance of each liquidation cluster in relation to adjacent liquidation clusters, that is, intensity. Therefore, the liquidation chart illustrates to what extent the price of the underlying asset will be influenced when it attains a certain level. A higher "liquidation bar" indicates that the price, when reached, will have a more pronounced reaction due to a liquidity avalanche.

South Korea's Ministry of Finance convenes a roundtable with semiconductor experts: AI demand has not shrunk, and medium- and long-term growth remains solid.

According to Yonhap News Agency, following the U.S. midterm elections, amid heightened concerns over AI data center regulation that triggered stock market volatility, South Korea's Ministry of Strategy and Finance held a roundtable with semiconductor experts to review industry trends and future demand prospects. Participants collectively assessed that, taking into account progress and future plans for large-scale investments by major AI firms, as well as factors such as expanded semiconductor demand driven by the proliferation of agent AI, the medium- and long-term growth outlook for the AI and semiconductor industries remains valid. They noted that while some concerns exist in financial markets, no clear signals have yet been detected that would lead to a contraction in AI investment or semiconductor demand. Additionally, given factors including the expansion of long-term supply contracts for South Korean domestic semiconductor companies, the demand base is expected to stay stable in the short term.
