U.S. Northern District of California Judge Jacqueline Scott Corley formally granted a preliminary injunction on November 4, barring prediction market platform Kalshi from offering sports-related contracts on lands belonging to two California Indian tribes. This marks the first tribal land sports contract ban targeting Kalshi in the U.S. Per the court order, Kalshi Inc. and its affiliate KalshiEX are prohibited from offering any sports contracts on the "Indian lands" of the Blue Lake Rancheria and the Chicken Ranch Rancheria of Me-Wuk Indians. The ban explicitly covers (but is not limited to) contracts tied to events including baseball, tennis, pickleball, soccer, basketball, football, golf, chess, esports, ice hockey, motorsports, boxing, wrestling, and UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship). The court also directed the two tribes to provide Kalshi with land boundary maps by November 13, 2026, to facilitate geofencing implementation. Kalshi is required to submit a compliance progress report to the court within 21 days of the injunction’s issuance.

Beating AI News (Dongcha) reports that Ant Group’s Lingbai has launched Ling-3.2-flash, bringing native multimodal capabilities to its 560-billion-parameter flagship model. The new model supports image, text, and video inputs, with a focus on enhancing complex visual understanding, 3D interaction, and multimodal agent capabilities. It retains the same total parameters (560 billion), activated parameters (25 billion), and 1 million-token context window as its predecessor Ling-3.1-flash, while expanding beyond text reasoning to native visual comprehension. The prior Ling-3.0-flash-VL already supported image and video inputs, but only had 1240 billion total parameters, 55 billion activated parameters, and a 256,000-token context window. In official demos, the new model can generate webpages from images, operate Blender to build 3D scenes, and read research paper PDFs containing formulas and charts, converting their algorithms into runnable code. Ant Group’s internal tests show the new model outperforms Claude Opus 5 (max) in three benchmarks: document understanding, complex visual reasoning, and image-to-webpage generation. Its Vision2Web score reaches 85.86, compared to Opus 5’s 80.20. On third-party platform DesignArena’s image-to-frontend generation leaderboard, Ling-3.2-flash ranks 10th with an Elo score of 1238. The model is now available for web-based experience and API access, with free access for the first two weeks.

According to Reuters, after the Democratic Party scored a series of major victories in the U.S. midterm elections, oil prices, chip stocks, and the U.S. dollar came under pressure in Asian morning trading, while most other assets rose as markets bet on a cooling outlook for U.S.-Iran tensions. Overnight, Brent crude futures plunged nearly 9% to below $100 per barrel, with a weekly decline of around 20% so far; if the downtrend persists through Friday’s close, it will mark the largest single-week drop since April 2020. In Asian morning trading, oil prices tested the overnight low near $93.50. The pullback in energy prices boosted bonds and pushed yields lower, with the euro rising to around 1.1273 against the U.S. dollar, the greenback hitting a roughly one-month low, and supporting equities. The S&P 500 index closed up 1.6%, while European stocks hit a roughly two-month high; the solar energy sector led gains, as markets expect the Democratic Party to increase support for renewable energy. Meanwhile, Asian data center and related equipment suppliers weakened on expectations of stricter regulation. South Korea’s KOSPI, dominated by chip stocks, fell around 4% in morning trading, approaching a roughly seven-month low; Taiwan’s Weighted Index dropped about 1.8%, and Japan’s Nikkei 225 fell around 0.5%. Multiple Democratic candidates in Texas and Georgia who opposed data center construction won their elections; analysts believe demand for AI and data centers remains strong in the long term, but may slow in the short term. The yield on the 10-year U.S. Treasury note fell around 6 basis points overnight, and dropped another 1 basis point in Tokyo morning trading to around 4.87%; the 2-year yield fell to roughly 4.56%.

Beating AI News Flash: Anthropic has launched a beta version of Claude Personal Finance. Users can link bank, credit card, loan, and investment accounts via Plaid, enabling Claude to access account balances and up to two years of transaction history to answer questions like "Where did my money go this month?" and "How much is left before payday?" Claude can aggregate income and expenses across accounts, identify recurring charges, abnormal fees, and rising subscription bills, and generate expenditure charts, bill calendars, and personal finance dashboards. Users must grant authorization themselves; Claude cannot access bank login credentials, and its permissions are limited to read-only access, with no ability to transfer funds or execute transactions. Even when connecting investment accounts, it currently only displays basic information like balances, not specific stock holdings or transaction records. The service is now rolling out in batches to paid Pro, Max, and Ultra users in the U.S. ChatGPT launched a similar service as early as May this year, and it now covers free users in the U.S.
