Lens is launching a Token Distributor that will distribute GHO tokens to real users.

On August 8th, as per official channels, Lens has made an announcement regarding the launch of a token dispenser. This dispenser is utilized for gasless token distribution, which is based on the real user value rather than superficial activities. The dispenser is constructed on Lens and is currently in the preliminary testing stage. It will directly distribute GHO to high-value users and deposit it directly into their Lens account without the need for any claiming process. The team stated that although the first phase mainly focuses on GHO, the system is capable of supporting all ERC-20 tokens. In April of this year, Layer 2 SocialFi blockchain Lens Chain announced the official launch of its mainnet.

On August 31st, as reported by Decrypt, Dutch and U.S. law enforcement agencies have confiscated the online platform for trading fake IDs, VerifTools. This marketplace sold counterfeit documents for as little as $9 in cryptocurrency, generating a revenue of $6.4 million, making it one of the largest suppliers of fraudulent identity documents in the world. VerifTools required users to upload a passport photo and enter false data, which the website operators then used to create fake ID documents. These documents were almost indistinguishable from real ones, employing advanced techniques like holograms and UV ink. Users ultimately paid for the forged IDs using cryptocurrency. The operation seized 23 servers, two domain names used by the VerifTools marketplace, and a promotional blog.
