Publicly traded company Volcon has made its first purchase of 280.14 bitcoins and completed a over $500 million private placement to acquire Bitcoin.

According to official sources, Blockchain.com and the New York Stock Exchange Group (NYSE) announced today that they have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU), which will enable Blockchain.com’s user base to access tokenized U.S. exchange-listed stocks and ETFs on NYSE’s previously announced digital Alternative Trading System (ATS), subject to securing all necessary regulatory approvals. The partnership aims to expand NYSE’s reach to crypto-native investors via Blockchain.com’s global customer base. As Citi Research forecasts tokenized assets could hit a baseline scenario of $5.5 trillion by the 2030s, innovation and adoption of tokenized securities have accelerated in recent years. Tokenized stocks may offer fractional ownership, 24/7 trading decoupled from traditional market hours, investment access for global investors, and faster, more transparent on-chain settlements. Additionally, the MOU includes two-way market data distribution between the two firms’ platforms. NYSE affiliate ICE Data Services plans to distribute Blockchain.com’s crypto market data and analytics to subscription clients, giving traditional investors more insights into digital asset investment opportunities. Blockchain.com will integrate select ICE and NYSE exchange data sources into its app, allowing over 44 million verified accounts to access real-time stock information.

According to people familiar with the matter, MoonPay has agreed to acquire private market infrastructure platform North Capital in an all-stock deal valued at over $60 million. North Capital will become a wholly owned subsidiary of MoonPay. The source stated that the transaction will enable MoonPay to provide the infrastructure needed to support broader adoption of tokenized real-world assets.

According to TASS, Russia’s Central Bank has expressed its wish for illegal cryptocurrency exchange operators to cease operations, adding that the relevant gray areas should be eliminated by July 1, 2027. The announcement follows Russian President Vladimir Putin’s signing of a cryptocurrency legalization law on August 4, which defines digital currencies as property and grants the Central Bank responsibility for market regulation. The law’s main provisions took effect on September 1, 2026, though cryptocurrency exchanges may continue operating without being registered on the Central Bank’s official registry until July 1, 2027.

According to a report from The Information, despite a sharp decline in U.S. venture capital firms’ investments in Chinese startups in recent years, some U.S. VCs are still traveling to China to meet with tech founders. Last month, three partners from Peter Thiel’s Founders Fund—Sean Liu, John Luttig, and Joey Krug—visited tech companies in Beijing, Shanghai, and Shenzhen.

According to market sources, the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) and Blockchain.com will explore trading crypto versions of U.S.-listed stocks.
