BNB Chain has launched the official MCP protocol to accelerate the on-chain process of the AI Agent.

2025.05.06 12:24:29

On May 6th, BNB Chain has recently unveiled a novel open protocol known as the Model Context Protocol (MCP). This protocol offers standardized support for secure, two-way communication between AI applications and external data or tool systems. It marks a significant step forward in achieving plug-and-play integration of AI agents within the Web3 space. As part of BNB Chain's "AI First" strategy, the MCP protocol enables the connection of blockchain data with AI models through standardized interfaces. This helps developers create more intelligent and context-aware applications. Instead of creating custom interfaces for each tool or dataset, they can simply access this security-standard framework designed for the collaborative development of Web3 and AI, allowing them to concentrate on their own development areas. The key advantages of MCP encompass data privacy protection, on-chain interaction auditability, model protection and encryption mechanisms, and support for AML/KYC compliance, among others. This release is also in line with other BNB Chain AI First initiatives, such as the ongoing global BNB AI hackathons, the official AI Agent solution that provides developers with toolkits, onboarding support, and accelerates project development through the AI Fast Track Program, as well as the preparation of MVP for mature projects.

An anonymous seller is listing a data center loan portfolio worth approximately $500 million for sale.

An anonymous seller is auctioning a roughly $500 million data center loan portfolio via a bidding process, comprising over a dozen loans. Bids are due by November 19, with a minimum offer of $10 million per bid. The portfolio includes a $25 million stake in the New Mexico Stargate project, a joint initiative by OpenAI, SoftBank, and Oracle—the site where Oracle issued a force majeure notice. The auction, which followed the Democrats’ landslide victory in the U.S. midterm elections, is seen as a landmark event signaling the credit market’s growing pessimism over AI infrastructure expansion and hedge funds’ large-scale sell-off of AI-related debt. Analysts identify the anonymous seller as hedge fund Walleye. Separately, news yesterday revealed Walleye Capital is restructuring its internal equity business and preparing to return capital to investors. The $17 billion hedge fund, which posted its worst monthly performance since March 2020, is parting ways with its long-short equity leadership team and multiple portfolio managers.
