Stablecoin supply surges $2.79B as public companies add 2,938 BTC

Ripple’s stablecoin RLUSD recently hit a new supply high, with its market capitalization reaching approximately $2.491 billion, an over 86% increase from $1.336 billion at the start of 2026. It now trails PayPal’s PYUSD, which has a market cap of around $2.739 billion, by only roughly $248 million. Data shows RLUSD supply rose by about $112 million over the past week, while PYUSD supply decreased by roughly $61 million. PYUSD had a supply of around $3.531 billion at the start of this year, hit a peak of $4.214 billion on March 5, and is now down approximately 35% from that peak. By issuing network, between September 21 and 28, RLUSD supply on the XRP Ledger grew from $1.036 billion to $1.099 billion, an increase of about $63 million; on Ethereum, it rose from $1.343 billion to $1.392 billion, adding roughly $49 million. Currently, the XRP Ledger accounts for about 44% of RLUSD’s total supply, while Ethereum accounts for around 56%. The total global stablecoin market cap is approximately $306 billion, with RLUSD still holding a small share. Ripple has recently been pushing for wider adoption of RLUSD on the XRP Ledger, including for use cases such as institutional lending.

According to Bitget market data, spot gold’s intraday decline has widened to 4%, currently trading at $4113.68 per ounce. The U.S. 10-year Treasury yield rose 10 basis points intraday to 5.27%.

Digital asset investment management firm AlgoQuant Asset Management has partnered with digital asset trading technology provider Liquid Mercury, adopting the latter’s institutional-grade trading technology and infrastructure to expand its multi-strategy investment platform and enhance trade execution capabilities in global digital asset markets. Under the partnership terms, AlgoQuant will gain access to deep liquidity, low-latency infrastructure, advanced execution tools, and middle- and back-office operational tools to support its quantitative strategies and 24/7 trading operations. Liquid Mercury stated that its platform will enable AlgoQuant to scale its talent, capital, and technology while maintaining trade execution accuracy and operational stability.

Binance Alpha has launched an airdrop for Doppler Finance (XDP). Users holding at least 230 Binance Alpha points are eligible to participate on a first-come, first-served basis, with a total of 1,666 XDP tokens available. If the reward pool is not fully distributed, the point threshold will automatically decrease by 5 points every 5 minutes. Note that claiming the airdrop consumes 15 Binance Alpha points. Users must confirm their claim on the Alpha event page within 24 hours; unclaimed rewards will be forfeited.

Ahead of the release of the U.S. September non-farm payrolls report, JPMorgan’s trading desk has ended its previous tactical neutral stance on U.S. stocks and shifted back to a bullish outlook, focusing on the technology and banking sectors. Andrew Tyler, JPMorgan’s head of U.S. market intelligence, stated that stronger-than-expected U.S. economic activity, resilient consumers, solid corporate earnings growth, and the likely gradual stabilization of bond yields make the current market environment more favorable for risk assets. Tyler noted that the technology sector remains a key bullish pick, with semiconductors and the "Magnificent Seven" set to continue outperforming, while the artificial intelligence theme is far from over. For cyclical stocks, JPMorgan prefers bank stocks, arguing that a renewed acceleration in economic growth, a potential steepening of the yield curve, and improved capital market activity will support bank shares. The bank also added that as oil prices and bond yields face possible declines, small-cap stock shorts are at risk of being covered, so it no longer recommends using a short position on the Russell 2000 Index as a direct hedge for long tech positions. The next key market focus is the U.S. September non-farm payrolls report, set to be released this Friday. A Bloomberg survey forecasts around 90,000 new non-farm jobs, with the unemployment rate holding steady at around 4.1%. Federal funds futures indicate the market currently prices in a roughly 65% probability of another interest rate hike by the Federal Reserve in October.
