Glassnode’s report indicates that spot traders are shifting to the altcoin market, with total altcoin spot trading volume now nearly four times that of Bitcoin, hitting the highest level since September 2025. The on-chain analytics firm further stated that traders’ demand for higher-risk assets typically aligns with Bitcoin’s local, phased tops.

Chainlink has launched CCIP 2.0, an upgraded version of its cross-chain infrastructure designed to help institutions transfer tokenized assets between public and private blockchains. The new version adds features including configurable transaction finality, compliance controls, and cross-chain validators, enabling institutions and third parties to add extra verification layers for cross-chain transactions. Chainlink noted that financial and infrastructure firms such as ANZ, Fidelity International, Crypto Finance (a subsidiary of Deutsche B?rse), SBI Digital Markets, Sygnum, Taurus, AWS, and Google Cloud have supported CCIP 2.0.

According to official disclosures from Sei, REX Shares and Osprey Funds have updated documents for the SEI staking ETF with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), setting October 23 as its effective date. SEC filings indicate that the REX-Osprey SEI + Staking ETF was previously included in relevant registration materials. The ETF is intended to offer spot SEI exposure and engage in staking, and is being developed alongside crypto asset ETFs for tokens including NEAR, HYPE, SUI, and AVAX. REX and Osprey have previously launched products such as the SOL + Staking ETF.

Victim of the MEXC account hack, shuangfei8, posted that he thanked the MEXC team for prioritizing user account security and proactively addressing the incident, adding that the matter has been properly resolved. He commended the team’s responsible and efficient handling, and also expressed hope that MEXC will continue to strengthen user asset security to set a good example for the industry. Earlier today, shuangfei8 had reported his MEXC account was hacked, resulting in a loss of approximately $340,000, and questioned the platform for failing to revoke the attacker’s API, which led to the full withdrawal of his assets.

According to on-chain data, whale Lee Goon Wang just sold 15,000 ZEC tokens on Hyperliquid via a limit sell order, valued at approximately $23 million. The limit order’s listed price was about $30 lower than the market price at the time, a drop of roughly 2%.

Ripple’s stablecoin RLUSD recently hit a new supply high, with its market capitalization reaching approximately $2.491 billion, an over 86% increase from $1.336 billion at the start of 2026. It now trails PayPal’s PYUSD, which has a market cap of around $2.739 billion, by only roughly $248 million. Data shows RLUSD supply rose by about $112 million over the past week, while PYUSD supply decreased by roughly $61 million. PYUSD had a supply of around $3.531 billion at the start of this year, hit a peak of $4.214 billion on March 5, and is now down approximately 35% from that peak. By issuing network, between September 21 and 28, RLUSD supply on the XRP Ledger grew from $1.036 billion to $1.099 billion, an increase of about $63 million; on Ethereum, it rose from $1.343 billion to $1.392 billion, adding roughly $49 million. Currently, the XRP Ledger accounts for about 44% of RLUSD’s total supply, while Ethereum accounts for around 56%. The total global stablecoin market cap is approximately $306 billion, with RLUSD still holding a small share. Ripple has recently been pushing for wider adoption of RLUSD on the XRP Ledger, including for use cases such as institutional lending.
