Sudden report: DeepMind achieves RSI, three-letter acronym ignites crypto community

Insight Beating AI Flash News: The AI community is abuzz with rumors that Google DeepMind has achieved RSI. RSI stands for Recursive Self-Improvement, widely regarded as a critical step toward superintelligence. AI systems can independently refine training methods, code, and models to build stronger next-generation versions, which then undergo further upgrades. If fully realized, AI development could enter a self-accelerating cycle. The rumor originated when leaker account lyra sent Google DeepMind a message reading "huge congRatulationS Indeed!", with three capitalized letters spelling out RSI. Shortly after, user Lentils shared an alleged internal model list featuring "rsi-model-liverl-le". He also claimed Google has 10 slots for training models of the same series, though no corresponding screenshots were provided. The rumor is not entirely unfounded. Reuters reported in August that Google co-founder Sergey Brin had tasked DeepMind with accelerating Gemini development and prioritizing recursive self-improvement. DeepMind’s official report in June also listed "recursive improvement" as one of four potential paths from AGI to ASI.

Long.xyz launches pre-market trading contracts for OpenAI and Anthropic, supporting up to 5x leverage.

Meme coin launch platform LONG has announced the launch of Pre-IPO trading pairs for OpenAI and Anthropic, with perpetual contract infrastructure provided by Lighter. Long.xyz stated that the platform has established paired liquidity pools for OpenAI, Anthropic, and NVIDIA, with 1x leverage for OpenAI and Anthropic, and 3x leverage for NVIDIA. For the early market, the platform adopts a customized liquidity design to gradually expand liquidity with lower market depth. It is important to note that Pre-IPO contracts do not represent actual ownership of OpenAI or Anthropic shares, but rather track the valuation expectations of these private companies. Lighter’s current OpenAI and Anthropic contracts support a maximum leverage of 5x and use an internal pricing mechanism. Long.xyz emphasized that Pre-IPO trading is still in the experimental stage, and the platform will gradually adjust related products based on market performance. Recent rising expectations for OpenAI and Anthropic’s IPOs have also driven a rapid increase in such on-chain pre-IPO trading products. A new on-chain trading format has emerged: tokenized long positions paired with Memecoins to offer speculative exposure, an upgraded version of the earlier gameplay where stock tokens like NVDA were paired with Memecoins. However, related tokens are highly volatile and carry significant uncertainty, so users should exercise caution when investing.

Google’s former chief scientist launched a startup just 5 weeks ago, targeting a $50 billion valuation.

Beating AI News Flash: Discovery Loop, founded by former Google Chief Scientist Jeff Dean after leaving Google, is in talks for a new round of financing. Business Insider, citing people familiar with the matter, reported that the company is seeking a valuation of around $50 billion. Just a few weeks ago, it was in talks for a $10 billion funding round at a $10 billion valuation. The latest deal has not been finalized, and the company has not confirmed it. Discovery Loop was founded only in early August. All four founders are from Google; besides Dean, they include Sanjay Ghemawat, Quoc Le, and Oriol Vinyals. It aims to use AI to automate the entire workflow of "proposing experiments, running them, reviewing results, and iterating", with the ability to run thousands of experiments in parallel at once. Its first step will be to test this on machine learning research itself, before expanding to scientific and engineering problems such as pharmaceuticals and semiconductors. Currently, its official website mainly outlines the technical roadmap and recruitment, with no official product launched yet. Alphabet, Google’s parent company, is both Discovery Loop’s founding investor and cloud partner; Radical Ventures, Khosla Ventures, and others have also participated in its financing. The company was established just over a month ago, has no public product yet, but its valuation target has jumped from $10 billion to $50 billion—investors are currently betting heavily on this founding team.

Meme coin ANTHROPIG briefly surged past $4 million in market capitalization, trading in a pair with ANTHROPICx1L via the Long.xyz platform.

According to GMGN market data, the new meme coin ANTHROPIG in the Robinhood ecosystem briefly surpassed $4 million in market capitalization, and has now fallen back to $2.92 million. ANTHROPIG’s core narrative centers on the theme of “Anthropic pig / pigified Anthropic”, directly capitalizing on the hype around Long.xyz’s upcoming or already supported Anthropic tokenized 1x long position (ANTHROPICx1L). Trading is paired via the Long.xyz platform with ANTHROPICx1L (Anthropic 1x Long tokenized position). Long.xyz is a launchpad that creates meme coins using Robinhood’s on-chain stock tokens (or similar exposures) as liquidity pools, packaging leveraged long positions provided by Lighter into ERC-20 tokens. Anthropic currently has high IPO expectations, but as an unlisted company, traditional markets do not offer direct long access. On-chain, such tokenized long positions paired with meme coins provide speculative exposure — an upgraded version of the earlier play where stock tokens like NVDA were paired with meme coins. BlockBeats reminds users that related token prices are highly volatile and carry significant uncertainty, so users should exercise caution when investing. In a prior report, crypto KOL @StandartXBT analyzed the code of Long.xyz’s factory (the Robinhood on-chain crypto-stock meme coin issuance platform) and made a viral claim that the platform may support tokenized 1x long position liquidity pools for OpenAI and Anthropic, with related tokens backed by Lighter.

Blockstream Refuses to Pay Ransom: Stolen Bitcoin from Liquid Will Be Tracked and Recovered Through Legal Channels

Blockstream released a statement regarding the recent Bitcoin theft on its Liquid Network, stating it will not pay a ransom to recover stolen funds and rejects framing the unauthorized asset transfer as a "white hat disclosure". The company said it has engaged in good-faith communications with relevant parties to retrieve users' stolen funds, but will not accept the ransom demands put forward, nor set a precedent requiring open-source software developers to pay large ransoms. Blockstream added it remains willing to resolve the issue through responsible means; if the stolen Bitcoin cannot be returned, it will collaborate with law enforcement, exchanges, service providers and blockchain forensics experts to track and recover the assets while investigating those responsible. The company emphasized that Bitcoin transactions are publicly traceable, so relevant fund flows and on-chain evidence will not disappear. It stated: "We will not pay a ransom to return stolen assets, nor will we abandon our users." Prior to this, Blockstream had issued a security alert on the incident, warning that fraudsters impersonating Liquid and Blockstream are exploiting the situation to trick users into transferring funds or providing mnemonic phrases, and stressing that the official team will never ask users to send funds to so-called "recovery addresses".
