Viewpoint: Regulation may emerge as Hyperliquid’s biggest risk, while network effects remain its core moat.

CNBC crypto commentator Ran Neuner stated that regulatory uncertainty is the biggest risk currently facing Hyperliquid. Regulators have begun establishing regulatory frameworks for centralized crypto exchanges, and the next step may expand oversight to decentralized exchanges (DEXes), with significant ambiguity remaining over how to handle decentralized perpetual contract platforms like Hyperliquid. However, Neuner also noted that Hyperliquid has built strong network effects and liquidity advantages, making it difficult for competitors to replicate its technology alone to challenge its market position. Exchanges typically draw capital and users to markets with the deepest liquidity, so "the network is irreplicable". Hyperliquid remains the leading decentralized perpetual contract platform, with approximately $223 billion in trading volume over the past 30 days. Separately, the U.S. has signaled its willingness to establish a compliance path for Hyperliquid to enter the U.S. market, though no specific regulatory framework has been announced to date.

Symbiosis said it has recovered approximately 15 BTC and has offered the attacker a 20% white hat bounty.

Cross-chain liquidity protocol Symbiosis announced that around 04:28 UTC on September 11, its Bitcoin bridge was attacked, with the perpetrator exploiting a vulnerability. BTC-related routes have been suspended. Symbiosis clarified that the incident only impacted the Bitcoin Bridge; the affected system has been isolated from other components, while other cross-chain routes (including EVM chains, TRON, TON) and Octopools remain unharmed and operational. The team has recovered roughly 15 BTC, now held in a multi-sig wallet controlled by the team. For the stolen funds, Symbiosis has issued a 20% white hat bounty to the attacker, with a deadline of September 13. If the attacker fails to return the funds, an equal proportion bounty will be offered to anyone who can assist in recovering the assets. The final loss amount is still being tallied, and the team will contact affected liquidity providers individually to develop a compensation plan. Separately, on-chain security monitoring firms noted that the incident involved Symbiosis BridgeV2 abnormally minting syBTC, leading to approximately $336,000 in WBTC losses; the relevant vulnerability is currently being resolved.

Sudden report: DeepMind achieves RSI, three-letter acronym ignites crypto community

Insight Beating AI Flash News: The AI community is abuzz with rumors that Google DeepMind has achieved RSI. RSI stands for Recursive Self-Improvement, widely regarded as a critical step toward superintelligence. AI systems can independently refine training methods, code, and models to build stronger next-generation versions, which then undergo further upgrades. If fully realized, AI development could enter a self-accelerating cycle. The rumor originated when leaker account lyra sent Google DeepMind a message reading "huge congRatulationS Indeed!", with three capitalized letters spelling out RSI. Shortly after, user Lentils shared an alleged internal model list featuring "rsi-model-liverl-le". He also claimed Google has 10 slots for training models of the same series, though no corresponding screenshots were provided. The rumor is not entirely unfounded. Reuters reported in August that Google co-founder Sergey Brin had tasked DeepMind with accelerating Gemini development and prioritizing recursive self-improvement. DeepMind’s official report in June also listed "recursive improvement" as one of four potential paths from AGI to ASI.
