From Kimi and Manus to AirBuild, Wang Huiwen has invested in another AI Agent startup.
Beating AI News Brief, November 4: Meituan co-founder Wang Huiwen revealed on Chinese social platform Jike that AirBuild is his latest investment project. His family office Lollapalooza Capital has also added YellowPlus, the entity behind AirBuild, to its investment portfolio.
AirBuild aims to let AI handle the full lifecycle of iOS app development and launch: when users describe their needs, specialized AI Agents for product, design, and engineering collaborate to complete requirement planning, interface design, and native iOS code. A key feature is its automatic App Store review handling: the AI prepares app screenshots and descriptions, submits for review, and if rejected by Apple, parses feedback, modifies code or supplementary materials, responds to reviewers, and resubmits—cutting down developers’ manual work.
AirBuild’s founder and CEO is Hwang, who previously led product design for open-source knowledge management tool AFFiNE, was an early member of AI Agent product Bridge, and independently developed Lofi. and Sleepy Coffee, both featured by Apple’s App Store editors.
Currently invitation-only, AirBuild requires users to apply for testing access first. Its free tier supports AI Agent collaborative iOS app development, program building, and website hosting, but users must provide their own AI model API keys. The paid tier offers more cloud resources and model quotas, plus extra features like TestFlight beta distribution, automatic App Store review submission, and modifying/resubmitting based on Apple’s feedback.
Since exiting Light Years Beyond in 2023, Wang has invested in multiple AI firms, including notable ones such as Moonshot AI (parent of Kimi), Butterfly Effect (developer of Manus), SiliconFlow, Aispeech, and Sand.ai.

Serenity: AI companies should establish official spokespersons on the X platform to counter misleading narratives in a timely manner.
Serenity issued a statement noting that AI companies should now consider appointing dedicated representatives on the X platform to directly respond to and counter misleading narratives that may impact the valuation of the AI ecosystem and enterprises’ financing capacity. Serenity pointed out that exaggerating AI industry risks is driven by huge profit motives: on one hand, executives of well-funded companies may benefit from the collapse of competitors; on the other hand, some institutions may attempt to profit by shorting or deleveraging AI-related trades. It argues that AI companies should not wait until quarterly earnings reports are released to clarify false rumors such as overcapacity and delayed data center construction, but should speak out in a timely manner to prevent misinformation from continuously affecting market expectations.

Silicon Valley bigwigs show a subtle shift in attitude: AI development cannot rely solely on Trump.
Beating AI News Flash: On the night of the US midterm elections, popular Silicon Valley podcast All-In hosted a live stream where several tech investors discussed the potential impact of a Democratic election win on the AI industry. Host Chamath Palihapitiya expressed concern that AI investment has become a key pillar of US economic growth, and data center construction is heavily reliant on power supply. If Democrats restrict new data centers in regions like Texas, the entire AI industry could face disruption. Host Jason Calacanis argued that the tech industry, which previously actively supported Trump, should now proactively engage with Democrats to collaborate on AI regulatory policies. He also noted that the tech sector’s past repeated messaging about AI potentially causing human extinction and mass unemployment has instead stoked public fear of AI. Brad Gerstner, a regular All-In guest and founder of Altimeter Capital, stated that many incoming Democratic officials only seek greater input on AI regulation, not a full ban on AI. He estimated that 10 to 15 GW of the US’s planned additional data center power capacity by 2027 may not launch on schedule. Remaining bullish on the growth of AI model companies, as an existing investor in Anthropic, he said that even with data center construction headwinds, Altimeter still aims to be one of the largest buyers in Anthropic’s IPO.
