Beating AI News Brief, November 4: Meituan co-founder Wang Huiwen revealed on Chinese social platform Jike that AirBuild is his latest investment project. His family office Lollapalooza Capital has also added YellowPlus, the entity behind AirBuild, to its investment portfolio. AirBuild aims to let AI handle the full lifecycle of iOS app development and launch: when users describe their needs, specialized AI Agents for product, design, and engineering collaborate to complete requirement planning, interface design, and native iOS code. A key feature is its automatic App Store review handling: the AI prepares app screenshots and descriptions, submits for review, and if rejected by Apple, parses feedback, modifies code or supplementary materials, responds to reviewers, and resubmits—cutting down developers’ manual work. AirBuild’s founder and CEO is Hwang, who previously led product design for open-source knowledge management tool AFFiNE, was an early member of AI Agent product Bridge, and independently developed Lofi. and Sleepy Coffee, both featured by Apple’s App Store editors. Currently invitation-only, AirBuild requires users to apply for testing access first. Its free tier supports AI Agent collaborative iOS app development, program building, and website hosting, but users must provide their own AI model API keys. The paid tier offers more cloud resources and model quotas, plus extra features like TestFlight beta distribution, automatic App Store review submission, and modifying/resubmitting based on Apple’s feedback. Since exiting Light Years Beyond in 2023, Wang has invested in multiple AI firms, including notable ones such as Moonshot AI (parent of Kimi), Butterfly Effect (developer of Manus), SiliconFlow, Aispeech, and Sand.ai.

At noon local time on November 4, he claimed the stock market had hit a new all-time high, marking 91 consecutive record-setting trading days, and wrote: "Your 401(k)s are skyrocketing, all records." Roughly 24 hours later, on the evening of November 5, amid a steep sell-off that saw the Dow Jones Industrial Average fall ~3.44%, the S&P 500 drop ~4.36%, and the Nasdaq plummet ~5.52%, Trump posted: "The stock market is having one of the worst trading days in history due to election results" and "Your 401(k)s have shrunk because of this." He stressed: "Not the Republicans, the stupid Democrats (Dumocrats)", urged no panic, and noted the market would "become stronger than ever in some way." That same night, he posted again: "The stock market crashed today because the Democrats won big on Tuesday... You only have yourselves to blame."

No jailbreaking, no iPhone app installation: Open-source project Poki lets AI directly operate iPhones.

Beating AI Express News: Developer Joseph Zhou has open-sourced Poki, a tool that allows AI agents like Codex and Claude Code to directly control real iPhones. Existing iPhone automation projects typically either use XCTest/WDA to install test applications or rely on external hardware to simulate operations. Poki takes a different approach: it directly calls Apple’s device developer services, reads the iPhone’s native accessibility control tree to retrieve buttons, text, and positions, then sends commands including taps, swipes, inputs, and even pinch-to-zoom actions to the device. This eliminates the need for AI to guess coordinates via screenshots at every step, or install test apps on the iPhone. After initial USB pairing, Poki supports wireless operation on the same local network. Beyond integrating with Codex and Claude Code via MCP, Poki also includes a Mac-based Agent that can receive tasks via terminal or iMessage. It can store successfully executed and verified operation workflows, reusing them for identical tasks in the future—some tasks do not require additional model calls. However, the Mac must remain powered on for Poki to function. Real-device operations are currently slow: the author tested on an iPhone running iOS 27.3, with 12 consecutive taps on a search box in a chat app all working, each taking around 8 seconds; filling an input box takes ~15 seconds, with some buttons still not responding properly. Poki’s strengths include direct system control reading, wireless operation, and multi-touch support, but it requires full Xcode, developer mode, and UI Automation. Its underlying layer relies on Apple’s developer APIs, meaning future system updates may impact compatibility.

Samsung Electronics CEO No Tae-mun increased his holdings in the company's stock for 630 million KRW.

According to Yonhap News Agency, data from the Financial Supervisory Service’s electronic disclosure system shows that Samsung Electronics’ CEO and Head of the DX Division, Noh Tae-moon, bought 3,000 of the company’s common shares on the local market that day, at an average price of 210,000 won per share, totaling around 630 million won. Following the purchase, his holdings rose from 124,280 shares to 127,280 shares. The report points out that the purchase came amid Samsung Electronics’ recent sharp stock price drop after the U.S. midterm elections, which is being interpreted as a sign of his commitment to responsible management. Noh previously bought about 3,045 shares at 230,000 won per share at the end of July. On the same day, Samsung Electronics’ stock closed 6.35% lower at 188,700 won.

Robinhood Co-founder: Aims to become the preferred public chain in the RWA and meme spaces.

Robinhood co-founder and CEO Vlad Tenev hosted a roughly 45-minute public AMA on X, themed "Let's talk Robinhood Chain", engaging directly with developers and the community to share the latest progress and long-term vision for Robinhood Chain. During the AMA, Tenev confirmed that stock tokens have launched on Robinhood Chain and are open for developers to build on, while emphasizing "this is just the beginning, more to come". He noted that stock tokens are unique on-chain building blocks that are fully permissionless, allowing anyone to develop around them, and that AI agents can already interact directly with these stock tokens. When explaining the decision to build its own public chain, Vlad stated that after in-depth research of existing ecosystems, the team found no chain fully met their specific needs. Robinhood Chain’s goal is to become the preferred chain for real-world assets (RWA) and the meme sector. He further stressed that RWA and crypto assets are converging and will eventually integrate, bringing exponential growth opportunities to the entire crypto space. On the product front, Vlad revealed Robinhood has begun displaying on-chain content across multiple products: including a dApp browser and trending Robinhood Chain tokens in Robinhood Wallet, while the main app’s search and Crypto sections now feature popular token displays.
