According to on-chain analyst Ai Yi (@ai_9684xtpa), Binance’s live contract smart money account “ESP bull” has topped the 3-day loss leaderboard, with cumulative losses exceeding $2.4 million. The account holds a total of 94 trading positions; its top five unrealized loss positions are: BTC long position ($4.05 million in unrealized loss), CTSI long ($2.16 million), ON short ($1.07 million), US short ($809,000), and ACX long ($805,000). Its primary unrealized gain comes from its XRP position, which currently stands at roughly $2.09 million, partially offsetting losses from other positions.

According to Lookonchain’s monitoring, whale address bc1qyr, which has been inactive for over a year, deposited 625 BTC worth around $39.96 million into FalconX, likely in preparation for a sale. The whale has held the BTC for more than a year, with an unrealized loss of over $20 million.

Renowned trader Ouyang Zhuai Bai posted online, saying: "I’m continuing to take orders today." The trading screenshot he shared shows he placed stepped limit buy orders for SK Hynix ADR in the range of approximately $122 to $94. Previously, he stated that the biggest trading opportunity of the year had arrived, and he began bottom-fishing for storage concept stocks using a strategy of no stop-loss and stepped spot purchases. Ouyang Zhuai Bai has long adopted a low-leverage trend trading strategy, whose core elements include: "going long on real breakouts", short-term responses during extreme market sentiment, and strict position control, with total leverage usually not exceeding 2x. His trading philosophy emphasizes achieving compound returns through trend-following holdings and phased bottom-fishing, with staying in the market as a primary principle, and he opposes high leverage and full-position trading.

Renowned trader Doctor Profit posted that on July 18, he decided to take profits on his Bitcoin short position built around $120,000 while retaining his stock short positions. Despite still expecting a potential downturn in the broader market, he has started dollar-cost averaging into BTC and ETH. The current correction is concentrated mainly in the AI sector, with multiple AI stocks plunging sharply, while BTC remains stable within its range and ETH has shown strong resilience. The S&P 500’s impact on BTC is currently relatively limited. While it is still too early to draw conclusions, this may support his original judgment that this round’s major correction may focus on AI stocks rather than a large-scale sell-off of BTC and ETH. Doctor Profit said his current stock short positions include MicroStrategy (-64.8%), Coinbase (-51.8%), SanDisk (-49.4%), Palantir (-40.6%), Netflix (-34.3%), IBM (-32.2%), Microsoft (-28.2%), and NVIDIA (-8.6%), generating significant unrealized gains. Apple (+26.2%) and the S&P 500 (+4%) have been unfavorable to his positions. He added that he invested in Coinbase last week, so his current Coinbase short position is mainly used as a hedge, and he plans to gradually close it out and take full profits in the coming weeks.

According to Bitget data, South Korea’s KOSPI index closed 1.35% lower today at 5586.81 points. SK Hynix fell 5.6%, while Samsung Electronics dropped 0.7%. Separately, Japan’s Nikkei 225 index closed 0.71% higher at 61867.43 points.
