Founder of Formula: Sold nearly $7 million worth of storage stock put options today, the sector's bearish sentiment is approaching its limit.

Vida, founder of Formula News, stated on social media that he sold nearly $7 million worth of put options on storage-related stocks today, with most of the contracts set to expire in one month. The current sell-off in the storage sector has at least neared the limit of market sentiment; all top traders are lamenting that they never anticipated such a market move, and the implied volatility of storage stocks is at the historical 100th percentile. The AI revolution remains ongoing, demand persists, and the fundamentals from a month ago have not shifted—this amounts to the same asset trading at a 35-50% discount compared to its price one month prior.

Base Build launches Verify Onchain, leveraging on-chain identity verification to address the problem of airdrop sybil attacks.

According to official announcements, Base Build has launched Base Verify Onchain, a tool designed to address Sybil attack issues in blockchain ecosystems. The feature is now live on the Base Sepolia testnet, allowing developers to implement the "one real user, one claim" rule in smart contracts. Base Build noted that traditional airdrop mechanisms are vulnerable to manipulation by bulk wallets, with large rewards often going to professional airdrop farmers while genuine users contributing to product development only receive limited benefits. Base Verify Onchain generates a stable identity hash for each real user, enabling projects to identify multiple wallets controlled by the same user without accessing sensitive personal data such as names or account information. Users can complete verification via existing accounts on platforms including Coinbase, Instagram, X, and TikTok; the system then returns verified identity credentials to smart contracts, which automatically enforce rules such as claim limits, voting restrictions, or quota controls. To date, Base Verify has been used over 300,000 times, supporting partner projects including Base App, Cody, Scratch, and Bracket. Base Build stated that Verify Onchain will enable decentralized applications (dApps) to implement fairer airdrops, token distributions, governance voting, and user incentive programs. Developers can leverage this technology to limit claim counts per real user, allocate rewards based on verified identities, or translate real-world signals into on-chain reputation, thereby reducing the impact of bots and multi-wallet manipulation on the fairness of Web3 applications.

Israeli media: Mediators believe the US and Iran are expected to restart their memorandum of understanding.

According to a report from The Times of Israel, an Arab official and another source disclosed that ahead of Tuesday’s meeting between Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and U.S. President Donald Trump, mediators believed they were close to reaching a breakthrough deal likely to revive the memorandum of understanding (MOU) signed between the U.S. and Iran last month. However, the mediators are still awaiting the final decision after Trump’s meeting with the Israeli leader. Pakistan, Egypt, and Qatar announced late Monday that they are discussing a proposal aimed at clarifying differences over operations in the Strait of Hormuz. Iran insists the MOU grants it certain control over the strait, while the U.S. holds a different view. The mediators’ plan is designed to bridge these gaps, enabling the U.S. and Iran to hold talks under the MOU, which has a 60-day deadline expiring next month. Iran and Oman have already approved the mediators’ proposal, and it is now pending Trump’s approval. The two sources stated that the White House has not yet made a decision and will not issue a final call until after Trump meets with Netanyahu.
