April 23 — The U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) said Wednesday that U.S. crude inventories edged higher last week, while gasoline and distillate stockpiles fell. Amid supply disruptions tied to the Iran conflict, U.S. total exports hit a record high. The EIA reported that U.S. crude stockpiles rose 1.9 million barrels to 465.7 million barrels in the week ended April 17—contrary to a forecast 1.2 million-barrel draw.
