Binance Research: 95% of Latin American Users Plan to Increase Their Cryptocurrency Holdings by 2025

On February 23rd, as per a report from CoinDesk, based on a survey of over 10,000 investors in four Latin American countries (Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, and Mexico) carried out by Binance Research Institute, 95% of the respondents intended to purchase more cryptocurrency by 2025. Among them, 40.1% anticipated increasing their holdings within the next three months, 15.3% planned to boost holdings within six months, 39.7% would raise holdings within a year, and only 4.9% had no further investment plans. According to research by payment company Triple-A, the findings indicated that Latin America was taking the lead in cryptocurrency adoption globally by 2024, with a growth rate of 116%. The region currently had 55 million cryptocurrency users, accounting for nearly 10% of the total cryptocurrency users. This rapid growth was driven by increases in asset prices, regulatory advancements, and the emergence of new financial products like spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs). Brazil recently became the first country to approve a spot XRP ETF.
