February 4 – A White House official told Barron’s that Federal Reserve Governor Randal has resigned as chair of the White House Council of Economic Advisers (CEA). Randal, who joined the Fed in September 2023, has been on leave from his Fed role since assuming the CEA post. He will continue serving as a Fed governor until a successor is confirmed. Randal declined to comment on the development.
