Earlier, another deadly shooting occurred in Minneapolis. Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) said in a statement: “The events in Minnesota are horrifying — unacceptable anywhere in America.” He added Senate Democrats would not provide the votes needed for the Republican-led federal agency funding measure if it includes funding for the Department of Homeland Security.
