UK Sanctions Bust "Professional Money Launderer" Ordered to Pay Around $7.6 Million Fine

2026.01.24 11:54:17

**January 24** The UK Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) has ordered Sen Hok Ling—a key middleman in the Bitcoin fraud case involving Qing Zhimin (also known as Qian Zhimin or Zhang Yadi) and labeled a "professional money launderer"—to pay £5 million (approximately $7.6 million) to UK authorities within three months. Failure to comply could result in an additional maximum 8-year prison sentence. CPS notes Ling assisted convicted fraudster Qing Zhimin in transferring funds. Between February and April 2024, Ling received 83.7 Bitcoin (BTC) total and cashed out the proceeds via a United Arab Emirates (UAE) bank account and third-party channels. Ling pleaded guilty to one count of money laundering in November 2025 and was sentenced to four years and 11 months in prison. Qing, meanwhile, received an 11-year, 8-month sentence on two money laundering counts. Additionally, the final disposal of Qing’s 61,000 Bitcoin—Britain’s largest ever cryptocurrency seizure—is still tied up in related civil proceedings. Going forward, the funds may be used in whole or in part to compensate victims, with any remaining amount potentially going to the UK Treasury.

If Bitcoin drops below $65,000, the mainstream CEX long liquidation volume will reach $1.143 billion.

As of April 3rd, per Coinglass data: - A Bitcoin decline below $65,000 would trigger cumulative intensity of long liquidations totaling $1.143 billion across major centralized exchanges (CEXs). - Conversely, a Bitcoin rise above $68,000 would lead to cumulative intensity of short liquidations worth $754 million on these same platforms. BlockBeats Note: Liquidation charts do not display the exact number or value of contracts at risk of liquidation. Instead, the bars represent the relative importance of each liquidation cluster compared to neighboring clusters—defined here as "intensity." This means the chart shows how strongly a given price level will impact the market. A taller "liquidation bar" indicates that hitting that price will spark a more intense reaction due to a liquidity cascade.
