On January 11, Binance founder CZ tweeted that, to his knowledge, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has been using government resources to mine Bitcoin for some time. A retweet from him indicated the UAE has now officially begun mining Bitcoin with government resources. Per Arkham data, the UAE government’s wallet holds approximately 6,636 BTC via Citadel Mining, with the holdings valued at around $600 million.
