Yi Li Hua: Bought the dip on SOL in July 23 for an average price of $20, panicked and sold at the bottom, missing out on a 15x gain

On January 9, Daniel Li—founder of Liquid Capital (formerly LD Capital)—posted: “Investing is mostly about waiting. It’s not just timing the dip right; it’s also being patient enough to see the final outcome. Our research team released a SOL report on July 26, 2023, and we built a position near $20, expressing strong confidence in the SOL ecosystem and believing its value was undervalued. But as news of FTX’s private sales kept emerging, panic set in, and we quickly liquidated below $50—perfectly missing the subsequent 15x price surge.” Investing and trading might seem easy, but the journey from start to finish is the hardest part. It’s a major test of human nature. Outside of blowhard talkers and crypto influencers who act like they nail every market move, no one can truly predict how short-term fluctuations will play out or how long the waiting period will last.
