Dec 30 — Per on-chain detective ZachXBT, Canadian threat actor Haby (Havard) has run social engineering scams by posing as Coinbase customer support, siphoning over $2 million in crypto assets over the past year. The stolen funds were wasted on rare social media usernames, nightclub tabs, gambling, and other expenses. Investigations show Haby recently bought high-value Telegram usernames and deleted his recent accounts two days prior. OSINT analysis links the suspect to Abbotsford, near Vancouver. ZachXBT noted Canadian law enforcement may have relevant information, though prosecution rates for such cases in the area are low.

However, multiple on-chain monitoring platforms (including Crypto Scope) have flagged abnormal liquidity activity and on-chain data patterns, pointing to potential rug pull risks and urging investors to exercise caution. BlockBeats advises users that meme coins are highly volatile, heavily reliant on market sentiment and hype, and lack actual value or practical use cases.
