Institution: US Still Has About 3 Interest Rate Cut Room in 2026

December 25th Galaxy Securities noted that amid stronger-than-expected economic growth, CME data shows the probability of a January 2026 rate cut has narrowed compared to prior levels. Following the data release, Kevin Hassett (top candidate for Federal Reserve Chair) stated the growth foundation still stems from falling prices, rising incomes, and improved sentiment. He explicitly noted that if GDP growth holds around 4%, monthly job gains are expected to return to the 100,000-150,000 range. He also bluntly said the Fed is "significantly behind the curve" on rate cuts. Third-quarter economic growth largely reflects fading inventory and trade distortions, which is insufficient to reverse the trend of marginal weakening in job growth. With employment as a key policy consideration and the Fed Chair selection gradually coming into focus, roughly three rate cuts are still expected in 2026. (Source: Jin10)

Dragonfly Partner: Solana and Ethereum Will Both Benefit from Asset Tokenization Wave

December 25th: Dragonfly General Partner Rob Hadick told CNBC’s “Squawk Box” in an interview that as asset tokenization trends accelerate and on-chain economic activity grows, both Solana and Ethereum will benefit from this wave—not a zero-sum game. “Both are Facebooks,” he said. He noted that Ethereum currently powers most stablecoins and core economic activity, while Solana holds a bigger edge in high-frequency trading and transaction throughput efficiency. Data from RWA XYZ shows a wide gap in total asset scale across the two networks: Ethereum (including stablecoins) totals ~$183.7 billion, while Solana stands at ~$15.9 billion, per CoinTelegraph.

Uniswap Foundation Financial Report Reveals Team's "High Salary Low Ability" Dynamic, Community Outraged

**December 25th Update** Per the Uniswap Foundation’s 2024 financial report, the organization’s annual salary costs totaled $4.8 million—yet its actual work output amounted to just disbursing $10 million in funds. By contrast, the Optimism Grants Council’s staff costs hit $2.6 million while managing a $63.5 million grant budget. The crypto community has noted Uniswap’s executive compensation is on par with Optimism’s entire grants team, but its fund disbursement is only 20% of the comparison. This has spurred calls for UNI holders to demand the foundation justify its value, and ignited a broader debate over DAO efficiency.
