Four Men Break Into Home, Rob $1.6 Million Worth of Cryptocurrency, Torture Victim for Over 13 Hours

2025.11.25 01:54:35

November 25th. As per The New York Post, a Hong Kong individual has received a 7-year prison term in Canada due to his participation in an extremely savage home invasion. Four attackers disguised as deliverymen broke into a residence in British Columbia. A family of three was subjected to 13.5 hours of beating, waterboarding, and sexual assault threats. Eventually, they managed to make off with $1.6 million worth of Bitcoin. The court depicted this as a "carefully devised, long-term violent crime." The attackers had carried out reconnaissance weeks in advance, surveilled the victims, and placed cameras outside the house with the aim of targeting their cryptocurrency holdings. During the ordeal, the robbers forced the couple to disclose their encrypted account passwords: - The wife was made to endure waterboarding, while the husband was stripped naked and beaten. - The robbers threatened to cut off the husband's genitals. - They also threatened to harm their young daughter to psychologically pressure the parents. Ultimately, the robbers transferred $1.6 million in Bitcoin from the victims' account. The following morning, the victims' daughter managed to escape and called the police. Law enforcement later discovered the parents injured and bound, with the husband partially naked. Court documents revealed that the attackers had been surveilling the family for weeks, installing cameras around the house to gain information about their cryptocurrency assets and daily routines. Before leaving, they attempted to destroy evidence by submerging household electronics in a bleach and water solution. The court characterized this case as an "extreme act of violence, extreme brutality, and a meticulously planned cryptocurrency robbery."

The US Supreme Court "questions" Trump's attempt to revoke birthright citizenship

On April 2, Bloomberg reported that the U.S. Supreme Court has cast doubt on former President Donald Trump’s attempt to end birthright citizenship, suggesting a key component of his immigration agenda may be struck down. Trump sat in the front row of the courtroom during oral arguments. Trump has long argued that the current U.S. birthright citizenship system is widely abused and represents a major loophole in the country’s immigration framework. He has repeatedly stated publicly that birthright citizenship—under which anyone born on U.S. soil automatically receives U.S. citizenship—is not a “gift” for illegal immigrants or temporary visitors, but was established post-Civil War to protect the descendants of enslaved people. Per monitoring by PolyBeats (via the link [https://t.me/PolyBeats_Bot]), the probability on the prediction market Polymarket that the U.S. Supreme Court will overturn Trump’s executive order related to birthright citizenship has risen from 81% to 95%.
