Berachain: Hard Fork Upgrade File Distributed, Attacker Is a White Hat Hacker and Is Willing to Return the Funds

On November 4th, Berachain made a post on the X platform, indicating that the hard fork upgrade file had been distributed and that many validator nodes had also been upgraded. They expressed the hope that core infrastructure partners necessary for on-chain operations (such as a settlement oracle) would ensure the update of their RPC, as this currently posed the main obstacle to restoring on-chain operations. After fulfilling core service RPC requests, they would coordinate with bridge operators, CEX partners, custodians, and others to restore services. They were also in communication with BEX fund holders, one of whom was an MEV bot operator claiming to be a white-hat hacker. They were willing to pre-sign a series of transactions to facilitate the return of funds after the upgrade, with the expectation of returning them to Berachain's deployment address.
