Visa to Accept Four Stablecoins on Four Blockchains, Facilitate Fiat Currency Conversion

On October 29th, as reported by TheBlock, Visa will accept payments in four stablecoins on four distinct blockchains. These stablecoins can be converted into two target fiat currencies and can also be converted back into more than 25 traditional fiat currencies. Visa CEO McInerney disclosed that Visa card spending related to stablecoins in the fourth quarter has increased fourfold compared to the same period last year. Since 2020, Visa has facilitated over $140 billion in cryptocurrency and stablecoin flows. This includes users using Visa credentials to purchase more than $100 billion in cryptocurrency and stablecoin assets.
