Both China and the United States have reached a basic framework agreement on resolving the TikTok issue through cooperation.

On September 15th, according to Xinhua News Agency, on the same day, Li Chenggang, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Commerce and China's International Trade Representative, said that regarding the TikTok issue, China has always been opposed to the politicization, instrumentalization, and weaponization of technological and economic issues. China will never sacrifice its principles, corporate interests, and international fairness and justice in order to seek any agreement. China will firmly defend national interests and the legitimate rights of Chinese enterprises and conduct technology export approvals in accordance with laws and regulations. Meanwhile, the Chinese government fully respects the will of enterprises and supports enterprises in conducting equal commercial negotiations based on market principles. During this meeting, the two sides had frank and in-depth exchanges regarding TikTok and China's concerns and reached a basic framework consensus on resolving TikTok-related issues through cooperation, reducing investment barriers, and promoting relevant economic and trade cooperation.
