The Czech National Bank will assess the option of expanding the investment scope to cover other asset classes

On January 30th, as per official information, the Board of Directors of the Czech National Bank (CNB) deliberated on a document regarding the international reserve management for 2024 during its meeting on Thursday and gave the green light to a proposal to analyze investments in other asset classes.
Officials indicated that as part of the reserve management strategy, the central bank has been continuously diversifying its investments over the past two years. According to Governor Aleš Michl's proposal, the central bank will evaluate whether it is appropriate to incorporate other asset classes into the reserve from the perspectives of diversification and return.
