Circle CEO: Strongly Supports Trump's Repeal of SAB 121, Executive Order Expected Soon

On January 21st, Jeremy Allaire, the CEO of Circle, stated during an interview at the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting in Davos, Switzerland. He said that U.S. President Trump may soon sign an executive order to make it more convenient for banks to hold digital assets. He expected Trump's order supporting cryptocurrency to be released "soon" without specifying a specific time. Allaire specifically pointed out the U.S. SEC's Staff Accounting Bulletin 121 (SAB 121), which is a controversial framework that has prevented financial institutions from placing cryptocurrency on their balance sheets. Although Congress voted to repeal SAB 121, the resolution was later vetoed by Biden. At that time, Biden stated, "My administration will not support measures that endanger the well-being of consumers and investors." Allaire and other cryptocurrency executives believe that SAB 121 is not designed to protect investors but to hinder the adoption of new technologies. Allaire said that SAB 121 "ha

Vitalik: Strongly Against Ethereum Foundation Staking via Service Providers, Favors Independent Staking

Bitfinex Report: Sustained Bitcoin Demand Keeps It Strong in the Mid-Term

On January 20th, Bitfinex issued a report stating that "Last week, Bitcoin witnessed a notable rebound. It briefly dropped to a low of $89,698 and then rebounded back above $100,000. The dip below $90,000 led to a large number of liquidations. On January 13th, a record $818 million in forced liquidations occurred, with $592 million in long positions. The average cost basis of short-term holders was $88,400, which played a crucial role in this pullback and supported the price. Historically, the cost basis of short-term holders has often served as a reliable support level, and the low point last week was very close to this level, triggering the rebound. However, if the price drops below the cost basis of short-term holders, it may create selling pressure and further trigger a sell-off. This rebound was mainly driven by positive spot buying, as indicated by the significant increase in spot cumulative trading volume. This indicator shows significant buying pressure, especially on U.S.-base
