According to Bloomberg, Brazil-based digital bank Nubank has temporarily suspended cryptocurrency deposit and withdrawal services in its home market due to an issue with an external service provider. In a Friday statement, the company noted that all assets and customer information remain protected, the problem is unrelated to its own infrastructure, and will not compromise client security. Nubank did not name the external partner, adding that other crypto products on its platform are operating normally. The firm has roughly 120 million customers in Brazil, but did not specify the number of clients affected by the suspension. Separately, Binance has been gradually resuming withdrawal services for some assets following a $6.3 billion hack incident. Brazil’s Mercado Bitcoin also announced earlier this week that it will cover the $40 million in losses stemming from a hack attack.

Michael Burry, the real-life prototype of *The Big Short*, revealed his latest personal portfolio adjustments via his Substack account. He continues to hold put options on Palantir (PLTR), Caterpillar (CAT), QQQ, and Oracle (ORCL). Burry sold 25% of his semiconductor ETF (SMH) put options, noting that the position remains "very large" after the reduction. Meanwhile, he boosted his holdings of MercadoLibre (MELI) by 50%, disclosing he purchased the stake when the price was below $1,500.

According to CNBC, the probability that AI firm Anthropic will announce an IPO by December 1 on prediction market Kalshi has dropped from nearly 90% to 57% over the past week. The probability of it announcing an IPO by January 1, 2027, also fell from over 88% to 68%. The related contracts bet on the exact timing of the company’s official IPO announcement, with results verified by news media reports. Anthropic confidentially submitted its IPO prospectus to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) in June this year. The recent downward adjustment in prediction odds comes after Democrats won control of both chambers of Congress and key gubernatorial races in multiple U.S. states, paired with a sell-off in AI-related stocks. Investors are concerned that data center construction may slow, reducing the appeal of AI investments. Texas’ incoming governor Gina Hinojosa campaigned on advocating stricter regulations for data center expansions. She defeated three-term Republican incumbent Greg Abbott, and told CNN in an interview Thursday: “We will enact laws to protect Texans. Until these safeguards are in place, we need to halt current data center-related work.” Meanwhile, the Nasdaq Composite closed over 10% below its recent high on Thursday, entering a technical correction range. As of press time Friday, the Nasdaq was up 1.3% and the S&P 500 rose 0.7%; Nvidia and Micron each gained around 4%, though the stocks still posted notable losses over the past week.

Gnosis Pay announced in a post that its B2C business system supporting the Gnosis Pay branded card experienced a data breach, resulting in the exposure of some customer information. All affected customers have received emails containing detailed information. The firm noted that user funds were not compromised, adding that personal information security is equally critical and it takes full responsibility for the incident. Gnosis Pay has deployed additional security measures, and the relevant B2C platform will still be fully decommissioned as scheduled on December 20, 2026. The company also reminded users to stay vigilant, stressing that its official team will never request users’ PIN codes, mnemonic phrases, or ask them to transfer funds.

Aave Labs has acquired Avon’s team and technology to advance its fixed-rate lending business. The acquisition covers Avon’s fixed and variable lending protocols, on-chain order books, domain names, and related assets; financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Per the agreement, Prince Sinha and Ayush Kaul will join Aave Labs’ engineering team, while Omar el-Ashaal will join the business development team. The Avon team will initially focus on fixed-rate lending, helping Aave expand the range of loan products available to its users. Avon’s prior research and development also included interest rate pricing, risk isolation, and lending market design. Aave Labs CEO Stani Kulechov said fixed rates are one of the products users already use in traditional finance, noting the Avon team will help Aave serve global institutions, fintech firms, and retail users. Aave added that its network currently has over $30 billion in deposits and more than $12 billion in outstanding loans.
