Crypto derivatives trading tool platform SignalPlus announced that it was hit by an attack in the early hours of November 4, with the attack stemming from a compromised third-party Telegram account, affecting only a small number of accounts that had not enabled IP whitelisting. The team said it quickly detected and contained the intrusion; as a preventive step, it has collaborated with its centralized exchange partners to revoke all associated API keys and temporarily suspended its terminal services. The platform noted total losses were less than $82,000, and affected users will receive full compensation. Full service recovery is expected in the coming days, with subsequent updates and operational guidelines to be released via official channels. This evening, Binance issued a statement saying that in response to the potential security issue reported by third-party platform SignalPlus, it has taken preventive measures to proactively revoke all API keys linked to SignalPlus. Binance stressed that its own systems were not affected and user funds remained secure. The exchange advised SignalPlus users to directly log in to their Binance accounts to check positions and open orders, refrain from re-binding API keys until SignalPlus confirms the issue is fully resolved, and recommended always enabling IP whitelisting.
