Tencent's Hy4 records a sharp surge in calls on its launch day, and WorkBuddy’s emergency 10-fold scaling may still lead to queuing.

Beating AI Insight News Brief: The joint project team of Tencent Hunyuan and WorkBuddy announced that after the official Hy4 version was integrated into WorkBuddy on November 4, a large number of users hit usage limits and experienced task queues on its first day of launch. The team has urgently scaled up Hy4’s inference cluster by 10 times and increased users’ free experience quotas. However, due to constraints on total high-end computing power and concentrated peak-hour requests, queues or usage limits may still occur at certain times. Tencent advises users to temporarily switch to other models such as Hy3, or use the service during off-peak evening hours. Meanwhile, the free experience period for Hy3 on WorkBuddy has been extended to 23:59 on November 15. Back in August this year, when Hy4 Preview made its debut, WorkBuddy also faced a surge in calls, requiring an urgent scale-up, which resulted in similar queue and limit issues at that time.
