Crypto journalist Eleanor Terrett reported that ICE has reissued its announcement of a partnership with Trade.xyz to introduce Hyperliquid-based perpetual contracts to the U.S. ICE’s deletion of the original post last night sparked mild panic among some X users, who worried the collaboration had been canceled. The revised announcement highlights more restrictive conditions: ICE “plans” to launch the related markets, and the move is “subject to regulatory approval.” Terrett speculates this may simply be due to the legal team’s extra caution.

ICE, the parent company of the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), reposted its partnership announcement with Trade.xyz on its official X (Twitter) account, revising the wording to add phrases such as "plans to introduce" and "subject to regulatory approval". The announcement states that ICE and Trade.xyz plan to bring Hyperliquid-based perpetual contracts to the U.S. If regulatory approval is obtained, ICE will operate the regulated U.S. version of Trade.xyz’s market, leveraging Trade.xyz’s expertise as a leading deployer of real-world asset perpetual contracts on Hyperliquid. The new trading venue will operate independently of ICE’s institutional futures business, delivering a trading experience tailored for retail participants. Upon launch, U.S. traders will be able to trade a range of macro-market assets around the clock, including crypto assets, stocks, indices, commodities, and foreign exchange. Users will access the platform via U.S.-regulated Futures Commission Merchants (FCMs), which will conduct KYC/AML checks, including a joint venture between ICE and OKX. ICE and Trade.xyz will pursue necessary approvals to launch KYC-compliant perpetual contract markets based on Hyperliquid, including applying for regulatory approval required to support leveraged trading.

Blockchain analytics firm Chainalysis disclosed it has experienced a cybersecurity incident, with some non-sensitive customer data exposed. The company said that based on ongoing investigations, no evidence of unauthorized access to investigative materials, authentication credentials, or session tokens has been identified. Chainalysis has engaged third-party cybersecurity experts and is leveraging large language models to support security reviews and bolster defenses. The firm stressed that this incident is unrelated to the recent crypto asset theft at Binance. Separately, Chainalysis previously stated on X that hacking attacks suspected to be tied to North Korea account for nearly 89% of reported crypto hacking losses this year, a rise from 15% in 2021.

According to a Bloomberg report, Binance stated it is discussing the feasibility and structure of a licensed business model with Malaysian regulators, aiming to formally re-enter the local market.
