A crypto whale has set 10 major goals: It will go all-in long on Bitcoin if the token stabilizes in the $76,000–$78,000 range, and remains bullish on Bitcoin breaking through $120,000 this year.

Whale "Set 10 Big Goals First" (@jasonleo) shared in a post early this morning that despite BTC falling below $78,000 following a previous black swan event, he still believes this bull market has already started and stands by his earlier judgment that $58,000 is the bottom of this cycle. Jasonleo said he previously closed roughly two-thirds of his long positions near $76,000 to hedge against risks of extreme market moves like the October 11 crash. After observing the market over the past two days, if BTC stabilizes in the $76,000 to $78,000 range, he plans to re-add long positions and return to a full position. He further noted that the first phase bottom of this bull market is $118,000, the second phase target is $150,000 (double the $78,000 level), and he expects BTC to hit $120,000 within this year. Additionally, Jasonleo described BTC’s current price action as an extremely compressed spring, pointing out that the leading crypto has shown strong resilience amid multiple news shocks, and if positive macro signals emerge, the market could rebound rapidly. He also added that he typically keeps his leverage between 2x and 4x.

Xiaomi has open-sourced an 800 million-parameter OCR model that can read complex tables, extract information, and answer questions.

Beating AI Insight News Brief: Xiaomi has open-sourced Xiaomi-OCR-0, an 800-million-parameter model capable of three core tasks: converting text, complex tables, and mathematical formulas in documents into editable content; extracting specified fields from invoices, receipts, and certificates and outputting them in JSON format; and answering questions based on document and chart information, going beyond basic image text transcription. The model is fine-tuned on Alibaba’s Qwen3.5-0.8B, trained with roughly 170 million OCR and document understanding samples. To enhance data quality, Xiaomi had multiple OCR models cross-verify recognition results. For complex tables and formulas, the team re-renders recognition outputs into images and compares them with originals to catch issues like misalignment and missing characters. Training was conducted in phases: first mastering text recognition and layout parsing, then adding tasks including information extraction and visual question answering (VQA). In five OCR VQA tests released by Xiaomi, Xiaomi-OCR-0 notched an average score of 83.2, outperforming Qwen3.5-2B (80.9) — a model with 2.5 times more parameters — and approaching the 84.9 score of the 4B-parameter model. In the Real5 document parsing test, which simulates interferences such as scanning artifacts, paper warping, and screen photo capture, the model scored 95.24 when paired with an external layout detector. Currently, the model weights, inference code, MCP service, and Agent Skill are all open-sourced. Developers can integrate Xiaomi-OCR-0 into AI Agents to process screenshots, PDFs, and invoices, extracting data that can be directly processed by other applications.

Hifi DAO hit by governance attack; team estimates ~$20k in losses, orders users to immediately withdraw their collateral.

Hifi Finance has issued a statement disclosing that its Hifi DAO suffered a governance takeover attack, leaving HIFI token holders effectively unable to control the protocol, its governance smart contracts, or the HIFI token supply. The team is urging all users who have deposited collateral in the Hifi Protocol to withdraw their funds immediately, and specifically demands controllers of two relevant addresses to withdraw WETH from the protocol. Hifi Finance noted that its core team failed to detect and prevent the governance attack in a timely manner, and takes full responsibility for the incident. Measures have now been implemented to significantly limit the attack’s scope. The final loss amount has not yet been determined, though preliminary estimates place it at roughly $20,000. The DAO holds sufficient funds to compensate all affected parties; its own liquidity has been permanently withdrawn from decentralized exchanges. Additionally, all outstanding debts collateralized by real-world assets (RWA) will be directly managed by the core team, no longer processed via the compromised smart contracts. These debts remain sufficiently capitalized and are expected to be fully repaid by their original maturity date of March 26, 2027, with no new debt issued by the protocol moving forward. The team stated that a full investigation report will be released at a later date.
