The company now uses a two-machine division of labor: Linux handles daily development, while Macs only process tasks dependent on macOS. The cloud Mac offers two configuration tiers: 6-core CPU, 14GB RAM for $2 per hour; 12-core CPU, 28GB RAM for $4 per hour. After a task concludes, the Mac remains active for 20 minutes to allow continued use of compilation caches; billing continues during this period based on runtime, after which the Mac is automatically terminated. The tech giant is launching its first high-grade bond offering in over nine years, joining peers in heavy borrowing as the AI investment boom fuels a surge in financing needs. According to sources familiar with the matter, Microsoft will issue benchmark bonds in 10 tranches, with maturities ranging from 2 to 40 years. The longest-dated tranche, maturing in 2066, has an initial price guidance of a spread of up to 1.35 percentage points over U.S. Treasury yields. Wells Fargo, JPMorgan Chase, and UBS will lead the bond offering. Proceeds will be used for general corporate purposes, including capital expenditures.
