Y Combinator-backed US perpetual contract trading platform Mochatrade has raised a total of $5.56 million in funding. The seed round was led by CoinFund, with participation from Coinbase Ventures, while its $690,000 pre-seed round was supported by Y Combinator and Pioneer Fund. Targeting Indian traders, the platform allows rupee deposits via UPI, enabling leveraged long or short positions on US stocks including Nvidia, Tesla, and Apple—no requirement to hold actual equities or open a US securities account. Currently in testing, Mochatrade has a waitlist of over 20,000 people and is slated for public launch in the coming weeks. The funding will be used for trading technology development and user growth; future plans include US stock options, additional trading assets, and social trading features, with no immediate token issuance plans. Balancer: Over $500,000 in unclaimed assets discovered before shutdown, relevant institutions notified to claim them

Decentralized exchange protocol Balancer announced that during an inventory of DAO assets, it unexpectedly discovered over $500,000 in assets and unclaimed rewards left in the protocol by external users and institutions, including entities such as Ethena and Gauntlet. Some liquidity assets on Balancer v3 are recorded internally via the Vault, so they cannot be properly displayed on block explorers or asset management tools like DeBank; additionally, some users have withdrawn their v2 liquidity but still hold unclaimed rewards. Balancer noted that it has notified relevant asset owners, and some institutions have already begun withdrawing funds. Earlier, the Balancer community approved a proposal to gradually wind down protocol operations, with some liquidity pools switching to withdrawal-only mode on October 30.

Anthropic’s cash holdings exceed those of tech giants including Amazon, Meta, and Microsoft, though its spending is also sky-high.

Yesterday, Anthropic officially filed for an initial public offering (IPO). Per the cash flow statement in its S-1 filing, the company raised approximately $140 billion in cash between 2023 and the first half of 2026 via preferred stock, convertible bonds, and SAFE agreements. Of that total, $110 billion was raised in the first half of 2026 alone, including $65.2 billion in Series H funding. As of June 30, 2026, the company’s available cash stood at roughly $132 billion, consisting of $112.4 billion in cash and equivalents plus $19.3 billion in short-term investments, with an additional $2.5 billion in restricted cash. Additional funding sources include a $15 billion undrawn revolving credit facility (expanded in September 2026) and up to $77 billion in partner note financing: $20 billion from Google, $15 billion from Amazon tied to computing milestones, and $42 billion from Broadcom earmarked exclusively for lease payments. IPO proceeds will add to this total, putting Anthropic’s cash holdings above those of tech giants including Amazon, Meta, and Microsoft, and second only to Alphabet, Google’s parent, which holds $242 billion in cash. However, Anthropic’s projected expenditure figures show it has committed roughly $37 billion annually to SpaceXAI alone for computing power starting in December 2026, with total computing power commitments reaching between $780 billion and $810 billion.

Osmosis community passes proposal to halt OSMO inflationary issuance and shift to protocol revenue distribution.

According to Osmosis' governance page, Proposal 1053, "Terminate OSMO Inflation Issuance", passed on October 26, with a 91.07% support rate and 65.38% voter turnout. Following approval, Osmosis will halt OSMO token issuance via inflation. Staking rewards and community pools will no longer receive new tokens, with staking returns now relying entirely on protocol revenue, including transaction fees. Meanwhile, the daily unlock and release of roughly 30,440 OSMO for developers will be suspended. The remaining ~51.9 million OSMO will stay in the developer vesting module account; any future releases will require separate governance approval. The proposal notes that ending inflation will eliminate dilution from new token supply, while transaction fees and ProtoRev-generated burns will directly reduce the token supply. Though the ~2 percentage point annual percentage rate (APR) contribution from inflation-linked staking rewards will vanish, the proposal projects this loss will be partially offset by the ~1.7 percentage point additional APR from Proposal 1052, which raised the transaction fee allocation ratio.

Hardware wallet Passport developer: Over 23,000 phishing email attempts detected, suspected customer data leak.

Hardware wallet Passport developer Foundation has issued an update on its security incident, disclosing that over 23,000 phishing email attempts have been identified. Of these, 19,057 were sent via Mailgun and 1,503 via Google Workspace, with some emails failing to be delivered. The actual number of affected users remains under investigation. The probe found that when Foundation previously used WooCommerce, historical orders were desensitized in the backend, but old data tables left after database migration still stored customer personal information. Similar issues were also detected in refund records and incomplete order carts. Additionally, customer information from new orders following the company’s migration to Shopify in May this year may have been leaked. Foundation stated that it has revoked affected email credentials and shut down related legacy services, noting there is currently no evidence indicating Passport devices or their private keys were compromised.
