Claude has quietly added Chinese-language interfaces, supporting both Simplified and Traditional Chinese.

Beating AI News: Anthropic is rolling out Chinese interfaces for Claude. The language menus on Claude’s web and desktop versions now include “Simplified Chinese” and “Traditional Chinese”, with some accounts automatically displaying Chinese upon opening the tool. The update covers localization of product interfaces such as menus, settings, and buttons. Claude has long supported Chinese conversations, but lacked an official Chinese interface, forcing Chinese users to rely on other language interfaces or browser translations. Anthropic has not yet officially announced this update. Its official language settings page still only lists 11 interface languages including English, French, German, Japanese, and Korean, with no Chinese included. The addition of Chinese interfaces does not mean Claude is available in mainland China. Anthropic’s current supported regions still exclude mainland China, though Claude is accessible in regions like Singapore and Taiwan.
