Robinhood Executive: Firm Still Advancing Innovative Exemption Process for Tokenized Stocks with SEC

Johann Kerbrat, head of Robinhood’s crypto business, stated during Korea Blockchain Week 2026 that Robinhood is still advancing its process related to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC)’s "Innovation Exemption" for tokenized stocks. Kerbrat added that Robinhood’s tokenized stock trading volume could eventually reach the regulatory limits set by the SEC. The SEC previously rolled out the Innovation Exemption, which permits eligible tokenized securities trading platforms to conduct on-chain stock transactions while meeting relevant conditions, though it imposes restrictions on the number of tradable stocks and trading volume. Robinhood is currently exploring tokenized stock-related business; the SEC’s Innovation Exemption framework requires holders of tokenized stocks to enjoy the same rights and interests as holders of traditional stocks, and sets conditions on trading varieties, trading volume, disclosure, and other aspects.

SBI Digital Trust Advances Cross-Border Payment Verification for Stablecoins Between Japan and South Korea

SBI Digital Trust Co., Ltd. signed a basic agreement on October 1 with South Korean payment service provider NICE Information & Communication and South Korean blockchain infrastructure firm DSRV. The three parties will jointly verify the commercialization of cross-border transfers and payments between Japan and South Korea using stablecoins. The verification will take Japanese tourists making QR code payments at NICE Information & Communication-affiliated merchants during their trips to South Korea as the application scenario, aiming to explore stablecoin cross-border payment solutions. Key verification areas include fund flow mechanisms, transfer and payment instruction systems, and inter-system connectivity, with the project expected to be completed by the end of December 2026. Specifically, SBI Digital Trust will leverage its expertise in Japan’s regulatory and financial sectors to design the payment scheme; NICE Information & Communication will contribute its merchant network and payment operation experience; DSRV will handle blockchain technology-related research. The three parties noted that they will evaluate future commercialization directions based on the verification results, and continue to explore stablecoin-related application scenarios in consideration of changes to regulatory frameworks in both countries.

Pi 1.0发布:长任务另拆Pi Durable,崩溃后还能接着跑

Beating AI Express (Dongcha) reports: Pi development team Earendil has officially launched Pi 1.0, alongside the experimental Pi Durable. Pi 1.0 primarily formalizes capabilities already rolled out recently, with the only newly added product line being Pi Durable. It is an underlying framework for building long-running agents, where task states are persistently written to storage, enabling execution to resume after process crashes, container restarts, or computer hibernation. Pi Durable splits model calls and tool calls into resumable tasks, saving checkpoints at every step. If a model request is interrupted mid-flight, it can be re-initiated. Tools will only automatically re-execute if confirmed safe to rerun. For tools that may cause duplicate operations, such as deployment or payment, when interrupted, the system passes the interrupted state to the model for handling. Beyond fault recovery, Pi Durable supports multiple concurrent conversations, saves queued messages and sub-agent states, and automatically compresses overly long contexts. Different clients can also connect to the same agent to view progress or send further instructions. Earendil has also clarified the two product lines: Pi Coding Agent will remain a personal terminal tool, while more complex persistent agent scenarios are handled by Pi Durable. Both products use the MIT license. Pi Durable is currently an experimental project, with its API subject to adjustment; once its design is validated as mature, it will also be integrated into Pi Coding Agent.
