Cloudflare overhauls its Command-Line Interface (CLI) for AI use cases, with agents now accounting for 48% of its usage.

Beating AI Express: Cloudflare has significantly expanded its `cf` CLI, which it launched in April this year. Initially supporting only a small number of products, the tool now covers all over 3,000 of Cloudflare’s API operations and is positioned to replace the existing Wrangler, which currently has around 280 command paths. Many of `cf`’s designs are tailored for coding agents: command outputs default to JSON, enabling direct reading by agents like Claude Code and Codex. The new `cf cli search` feature lets agents describe tasks in natural language to automatically find corresponding commands, no prior knowledge of Cloudflare’s APIs required. Cloudflare disclosed that agents now account for nearly half of Wrangler’s usage: the proportion stood at ~25% in March this year, rising to 48% in the latest week. Agents use nearly twice as many distinct commands on average as humans, and are nearly four times more likely to execute six or more commands. The configuration system has also been revised: `cf` now uses a TypeScript-based `cloudflare.config.ts`, allowing agents to leverage type checking and autocompletion to identify configuration errors directly. Existing projects can migrate via `cf migrate`, though some JavaScript projects dependent on Wrangler’s build workflow, plus Rust and Python Workers, will remain on Wrangler for now. Cloudflare plans to release Wrangler’s final major version after `cf` stabilizes, followed by 18 months of maintenance.

Liquid Network: Security audit for Elements v23.3.4 is underway, with work advancing on restoring Peg-out operations.

According to an official announcement, Blockstream’s Bitcoin sidechain Liquid Network has launched an independent external security audit for Elements v23.3.4, aimed at providing additional security verification for restoring Peg-out operations (asset exit from the peg). Concurrently, the Liquid Federation is coordinating updates to the Peg-out Authorization Key (PAK) list—including replacing existing key entries and ensuring all Peg-out keys are securely stored in cold wallets. Officials stated that these efforts are important steps toward restoring secure Peg-out operations, with recovery progress to be announced in subsequent updates.

OpenAI relaunches its $200 Pro plan: price remains unchanged, API equivalent usage halved.

Beating AI News Flash: OpenAI will re-open its $200 monthly Pro 20x plan, but the plan’s usage algorithm has also been revised. Tibo Sottiaux explicitly noted that when converted to equivalent API costs, the new plan is only about half as expensive as the old version. While the price remains unchanged, the most definite change is a shrinkage in equivalent API quotas. As for what the adjusted 20x multiplier will be, OpenAI has not yet disclosed it. OpenAI’s reasoning is that API prices for the Sol and Luna models have just dropped by roughly 50%, and models will grow increasingly efficient over time, meaning fewer "dollar quotas" could still complete similar or even more work. This logic may hold for models whose prices have halved simultaneously, but it does not apply to all models. There is currently no measured data from the old and new plans to back up the claim of "being able to do more work". Additionally, Pro 20x usage has long been insufficiently transparent. Over the past few weeks, a large volume of user feedback has emerged across GitHub and OpenAI communities: weekly quotas have suddenly dropped sharply, reset times have shifted, or long-context and multi-Agent tasks consume far more than expected. Some users also reported that a single Astra Ultra task consumed about 2.4 Pro 20x weekly quotas in just 5.2 hours.

Sonnet 5.5 becomes the first Sonnet version to prevent "inference extraction", with its internal reasoning process now bound to user accounts.

Beating AI Express: Anthropic has added another layer of restrictions to the thinking blocks of its Sonnet 5.5 model. The model’s generated thinking blocks are now tied to the account or organization that created them. When users switch accounts mid-session in scenarios like Claude Code, chat history remains accessible, but thinking blocks from the original account are discarded, requiring Claude to re-infer based on the existing conversation. Anthropic has also added checks for issues such as `organization_binding_mismatch` and `end_user_binding_mismatch` to its API. Previously, Anthropic introduced "context locking" for thinking blocks starting with Fable 5.1: original thinking blocks may become invalid if system prompts, tools, or prior messages are modified. The latest account binding measure is primarily to prevent attackers from switching accounts in batches to repeatedly exploit Claude’s high-quality generated reasoning for model distillation. Sonnet 5.5 is also the first Sonnet model equipped with a "reasoning extraction" prevention classifier. Anthropic notes that Sonnet 5.5’s capabilities are significantly higher than its predecessor, which led to the addition of these anti-distillation measures. The classifier targets large-scale scraping of Claude’s reasoning for training other models, with regular developers seeing almost no impact.
