New York Stock Exchange and Blockchain.com will explore tokenized U.S. stock trading.

According to official sources, Blockchain.com and the New York Stock Exchange Group (NYSE) announced today that they have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU), which will enable Blockchain.com’s user base to access tokenized U.S. exchange-listed stocks and ETFs on NYSE’s previously announced digital Alternative Trading System (ATS), subject to securing all necessary regulatory approvals. The partnership aims to expand NYSE’s reach to crypto-native investors via Blockchain.com’s global customer base. As Citi Research forecasts tokenized assets could hit a baseline scenario of $5.5 trillion by the 2030s, innovation and adoption of tokenized securities have accelerated in recent years. Tokenized stocks may offer fractional ownership, 24/7 trading decoupled from traditional market hours, investment access for global investors, and faster, more transparent on-chain settlements. Additionally, the MOU includes two-way market data distribution between the two firms’ platforms. NYSE affiliate ICE Data Services plans to distribute Blockchain.com’s crypto market data and analytics to subscription clients, giving traditional investors more insights into digital asset investment opportunities. Blockchain.com will integrate select ICE and NYSE exchange data sources into its app, allowing over 44 million verified accounts to access real-time stock information.
