NEAR continues its rally, breaking above $3.5, with its 24-hour price surge expanding to 30.9%

The Zcash development team plans to launch the NU7 mainnet upgrade on November 5, with relevant organizations and engineering teams having aligned on the upgrade details and estimated timeline. Developer Sean Bowe said NU7 will activate on the testnet on October 6, and the team will finalize the mainnet upgrade and its activation block height on October 20 after evaluating testnet performance. NU7 will reduce Zcash’s target block time from 75 seconds to 25 seconds, disable V4 transactions, and integrate the Network Sustainability Mechanism (NSM). The selected NSM configuration will retain ZEC’s existing halving schedule, with supply previously removed from circulation set to re-enter starting February 2031. Bowe noted that NU7 will not introduce new transaction formats, so its impact on wallets is expected to be limited, though full nodes, indexers, and block explorers may require adjustments. In prior voting, 99.9% of ZEC’s weighted votes backed the block time reduction, while 98.9% supported retaining the halving mechanism.

According to GMGN market data, the meme coin BONER, a crypto-stock token on the Robinhood chain, briefly surpassed a market cap of $60 million and is now trading at $58.85 million, with a more than 40% increase in the past 24 hours. BONER was issued on the Long.xyz platform, pairing with tokenized U.S. stock HIMS via the Robinhood stock trading platform.
