Serenity: Oracle’s renewal price for its legacy GPUs is 20% higher than the original contract, a positive development for NVIDIA and Neocloud.

Serenity noted that GPU renewal data disclosed in Oracle’s (ORCL) financial report sends a relatively positive signal to computing infrastructure firms including NBIS and IREN. Oracle stated that all GPUs entering the renewal phase have been resold, with transaction prices 20% higher than their original contracts, and most of these devices have been in use for more than four years. Serenity argues this data serves as a counterexample to Burry’s claim of “rapid GPU depreciation” and is more favorable to NVIDIA (NVDA) and Neocloud.

Meme coin flybrain's market cap rebounds to exceed $14 million, surging over 60% in 24 hours.

According to GMGN data, the meme coin flybrain on the Robinhood chain has rebounded to a market capitalization exceeding $14 million, currently standing at $14.03 million, with a more than 60% 24-hour price surge and $6.5 million in trading volume over the same period. Earlier, Marc Andreessen, co-founder of a16z, followed the project’s official X account. The project bills itself as the first meme coin developed by researchers using fruit fly brains—not "brain-inspired AI," but the actual connectome of a fruit fly brain, which comprises 165,122 neurons and 10,228,000 synaptic connections, all from a single male fruit fly, traced individually via electron microscopy. BlockBeats reminds users that most meme coins lack practical use cases, are highly volatile, and investors should exercise caution.

Thailand’s SEC proposes to cap daily one-way stablecoin transfers to third-party wallets at 5 million Thai baht.

Thailand’s SEC Proposes "Same Owner" Requirement for Stablecoin Transfers by Licensed Digital Asset Operators. According to the draft currently in the consultation phase, stablecoins entering customer platform accounts must come from verified accounts or wallets belonging to the same customer, and withdrawals can only be transferred to the customer’s own wallets or accounts. This means customers will not be able to receive stablecoins from others’ wallets via Thailand SEC-regulated platforms, or withdraw funds to third-party wallets. The requirement applies only to transfers processed by licensed operators, not peer-to-peer transactions that fully bypass relevant platforms. The draft also mandates that stablecoin transfer amounts align with customers’ income sources and financial status, with a daily deposit and withdrawal limit of 5 million Thai Baht per customer per operator. Transfers between regulated platforms are exempt from the limit if both operators comply with the Travel Rule, though it remains unclear whether this exemption affects the "same owner" requirement. Thailand’s SEC stated the proposed measures stem from the growing transaction volume of stablecoins, especially USDT, and associated risks of money laundering, cybercrime, and circumvention of international remittance rules. Public consultation will close on September 25, while the separately developed Travel Rule will take effect on February 27, 2027.

Analyst: Bitcoin’s rally drives a slight rebound in activity among long-term holders, with the overall market set to remain relatively calm in 2026.

CryptoQuant analyst Darkfost stated in a post that this cycle could mark the most active period for Bitcoin Long-Term Holders (LTHs) in the current market cycle. Using the Coin Days Destroyed (CDD) heatmap to track relevant shifts, he explained that the metric counts how many days a Bitcoin is held before being spent or transferred, noting that LTH BTC transfers are generally linked to selling intentions. The uptick in LTH activity this cycle is likely fueled by increased market liquidity from spot Bitcoin ETFs and companies building Bitcoin treasury reserves. However, a rise in CDD does not always coincide with market tops—it can also signal capitulation by some holders. He added that Coinbase’s recent transfer of 800,000 BTC, a large portion of which had been held for over six months, also caused a temporary CDD spike, though such asset moves are one-off events. Currently, amid Bitcoin’s recent rally, LTH activity has edged up slightly, likely as some holders aim to lock in quick profits. Overall, however, such activity remains subdued in 2026, with long-term holders still waiting on the sidelines.
