Revolut disclosed that an unauthorized third party used an email address under the legitimate domain of a government agency to submit fraudulent requests for customer data access, exposing sensitive information of a small number of clients. The firm labeled the incident a "complex external impersonation scam", has blocked the relevant email, and stated its own systems and customer funds remain uncompromised.
