Bonk Guy: MARSCOIN may be deliberately price-suppressed by market makers to attract short sellers, and could subsequently stage a sudden sharp pump.

Prominent trader Bonk Guy posted that MARSCOIN’s recent price action appears to be market makers deliberately creating conditions to entice a large number of traders to go short, before potentially triggering a sudden, rapid rally of over 100% in a single day. Over the past few days, he has deliberately avoided discussing or publicly expressing bullish views on MARSCOIN, hoping market makers will continue executing this scheme as planned: “Let them keep brewing this.”

The biggest concern for Anthropic’s IPO has emerged: its AI models are being sold at increasingly lower prices.

Beating AI Express: OpenAI CFO Sarah Friar said GPT-5.6 Luna saw a 10x surge in usage after an 80% price cut at the end of July. Luna’s current API pricing is $0.20 per million input tokens and $1.20 per million output tokens. By mid-August, Luna’s token usage on OpenRouter had exceeded twice the combined usage of Anthropic’s Opus 5 and Sonnet 5. The growth wasn’t solely due to OpenAI’s official price cut: the company also offered an extra 50% discount on Luna and Terra via OpenRouter at the time, pushing Luna’s effective price to roughly one-tenth of its original level. Anthropic has started cutting usage costs. Its newly launched Fable 5.1 didn’t lower base input and output prices, but slashed cache read fees by 75%. Anthropic estimates average workload bills will drop around 25%, while tasks heavily using agents could see cuts of up to 45%. The price war comes as Anthropic prepares for its IPO. The company’s annualized revenue run rate surpassed $65 billion at the end of July, with its prospectus expected to be released this month. As model capabilities grow increasingly similar, if developers start switching models more frequently based on price, whether Anthropic can still charge premiums for its high-end models will be a key metric investors must reassess.

Osmosis has frozen 22.65 BTC from the attacker's address on the Nomic chain.

According to official announcements, Osmosis has confirmed awareness of a vulnerability on the Nomic blockchain. The flaw allows attackers to double-spend nBTC, enabling them to send fraudulent credentials to Osmosis. Osmosis and the Inter-Blockchain Communication (IBC) protocol remain unaffected, as the bug resides in Nomic’s custom forwarding mechanism. Of the total minted nBTC, 39.84 nBTC is held in Alloyed BTC, accounting for roughly 36% of its total backing. Upon discovering the issue, moderation subDAOs suspended deposits and withdrawals of Nomic and Alloyed BTC on Osmosis, and collaborated with validators to execute an emergency upgrade, freezing 22.65 BTC in attacker addresses. Osmosis will submit a proposal to its governing body to seize these assets, and request that governance use BTC accumulated in the community pool to cover the remaining balance and restore full backing for Alloyed BTC.

US Central Command: No U.S. Navy warships were attacked.

US Central Command stated that Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) claimed it targeted two U.S. Navy destroyers operating in the Middle East, calling the assertion completely false. No U.S. Navy vessels were struck, with all IRGC attack attempts failing, the command added. Meanwhile, U.S. forces successfully destroyed 10 Iranian oil tankers over the past week. These tankers are part of a multi-billion-dollar shadow network that funds the IRGC, and Iran was unable to defend the vessels.
