Tesla’s intraday share price surged more than 7% ahead of its upcoming Cybercab launch event.

According to BIT (bit.com) market data, Tesla (TSLA) in the U.S. stock market rose more than 7% intraday, marking its largest intraday gain since June. Tesla’s Cybercab launch event is being held tonight local time in Austin, Texas, a key milestone to test the company’s autonomous driving commercialization process. Morgan Stanley noted in its latest research report that this launch is far more significant than any of Tesla’s previous product events; the large-scale expansion of its unsupervised Robotaxi fleet will directly determine Tesla’s stock price trajectory for the rest of the year. Data from the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) shows Tesla has recently registered around 45 Cybercabs for commercial operations, leading the bank to hold a positive outlook on tonight’s event. If Tesla successfully deploys 25 to 50 Cybercabs for paid passenger services in Texas within days to weeks after the event, its stock price is expected to react positively. Conversely, if the event only features limited supervised retail demonstrations with no substantial unsupervised fleet deployment, the stock price is projected to pull back under pressure following the event.
