Coinbase supports a crypto advocacy group’s endorsement of 32 midterm election candidates, all of whom back the passage of the CLARITY Act.

According to Reuters, crypto advocacy group Stand With Crypto, backed by Coinbase, announced it is endorsing 32 incumbent U.S. congressional candidates in the November midterm elections. All 32 candidates voted last year to advance the Clarity Act—the crypto industry’s top legislative priority—through the House of Representatives. The bill is currently stalled in the Senate due to opposition from some lawmakers. The endorsed candidates include key crypto allies such as Republican Representatives Tom Emmer and Bill Huizenga, as well as Democratic Representatives Ritchie Torres and Josh Gottheimer, with some facing competitive re-election races. “In 2024, we proved that crypto voters are a real, viable force,” said Mason Lynaugh, executive director of Stand With Crypto. “In 2026, we will demonstrate our organizing power—our advocates are a voting bloc that can truly sway election outcomes.” Founded in 2023 by Coinbase, Stand With Crypto influences elections by mobilizing voters rather than relying on large campaign spending, and it currently claims more than 3 million registered “advocates.” In 2024, the crypto industry spent $170 million supporting congressional candidates, most of whom won their races, and helped push through the GENIUS Act, legislation regulating stablecoins. This midterm election cycle, the crypto industry has already allocated nearly $200 million through channels including the Fairshake super PAC to further solidify its influence in Congress.

Tom Lee comments on the U.S. Treasury’s nearly $1 trillion long-term bond repurchase: Positive for stocks, cryptocurrencies, gold, and real estate.

Tom Lee commented on the U.S. Treasury’s potential move to deploy nearly $1 trillion to support U.S. Treasury bond repurchases. This development is positive for "long-term assets"—including stocks, cryptocurrencies, gold and real estate. The U.S. Treasury’s large-scale repurchase of long-term Treasury bonds will push down long-term interest rates, thereby enhancing the valuation appeal of duration assets, a move that should be regarded as a marginal improvement in the liquidity environment.
