A new wave of chip price hikes is underway, as semiconductor companies announce price increases en masse.

The "siphon effect" of AI on the semiconductor industry chain continues to intensify. Entering the second half of 2026, a new round of chip price hikes is sweeping across the sector with broader coverage and greater intensity. On August 10, leading RF chip maker Good-Ark Semiconductor released a price adjustment notice, announcing new prices for its entire line of RF products will take effect from September 1. The following day, Nationz Technologies followed suit, raising prices of some MCU products by 10% to 20%. For international giants, STMicroelectronics (ST) will implement its third price adjustment of the year on August 23, while Analog Devices (ADI) will roll out its second round of new prices starting September 13. From memory chips to MCUs, RF frontends to power semiconductors, analog chips to passive components, price hike notices are being issued intensively. Compared with the price hike wave in the first half of the year, this round of market trend is more distinctively marked by: the "siphon effect" of explosive AI computing power demand on mature process capacities, coupled with rising supply chain costs, persistent tight supply-demand balance, and expanding demand for domestic substitution, collectively pushing the semiconductor industry into an upward cycle of both volume and price growth.
